Statutory Inspector

We are seeking a professional and safety-focused Statutory Inspector to join our growing team at Agnews Wind Services Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out statutory inspections, examinations, and reporting activities across wind turbine assets and associated lifting and safety equipment throughout the UK.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent safety awareness, and experience working within the wind industry or other high-risk industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out statutory inspections in accordance with LOLER, PUWER, and relevant industry standards.
  • Inspect and assess lifting equipment, service lifts, ladders, PPE anchorage systems, rescue equipment, and associated turbine safety systems.
  • Produce detailed inspection reports, defect reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Identify defects, damage, and safety concerns, escalating critical findings where required.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with site-specific RAMS, WTSR, and company procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, site managers, and operational teams.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism at all times.
  • Support maintenance and rectification teams where required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within the wind industry or statutory inspection environment.
  • Strong understanding of LOLER, PUWER, and working at height regulations.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and complete accurate reports.
  • Comfortable working at height and within confined industrial environments.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GWO Certification.
  • LEEA qualification or working towards certification.
  • Experience inspecting service lifts, PPE anchorage systems, and lifting equipment within wind turbines.
  • First Aid and Rescue Training.
  • WTSR knowledge or experience.
